El Salvador El Manzano Gesha Natural Coffee Beans

Price range: $16.00 through $52.00

About the product

This coffee is a naturally processed gesha, hand picked and sun dried on raised beds. The farm itself has a long history dating back to its foundation in 1872. Fast forward to more recent times and the farm has been at the cutting edge of coffee production with experimentation in new cultivars and processing methods. To this end, coffee from El Manzano has contributed to three national barista championships, as well as first and second place finishes in the 2018 El Salvador CoE.

It is worth mentioning that this is a limited release; considering that this is the same coffee we use for our Drip Bags, we decided to release our final stock as an omni-roast single origin. Therefore, it will be available until mid-March (pending stock).

Brew Guides & Tasting Notes

As mentioned, this is an omni-roast, meaning it tastes incredible as an espresso, cuts well through milk, and works well as a filter.

ESPRESSO

We are getting great results with 21.5 grams DOSE / 43.9 grams YIELD in around 31 seconds. We are tasting dried apricots, red fruits, tangerine and dark chocolate.

MILK BASED

Following the same recipe with the incorporation of Norco CAPO milk, we are tasting cocoa nibs, malt and red berries.

Drinking it as a filter? We would recommend working with:

  • medium-coarse grind size;
  • a 1:15 ratio;
  • 95°C water;
  • in around 2:45 – 3:15 minutes.

As for what we are tasting, expect honey, black tea, green grapes and vanilla.
