About the Coffee

We’ve selected a beautiful Gesha from the El Manzano farm in El Salvador as our first foray into drip coffee bags. This coffee is a Natural process, hand picked and sun dried on raised beds. The farm itself has a long history dating back to its foundation in 1872. Fast forward to more recent times and the farm has been at the cutting edge of coffee production with experimentation in new cultivars and processing methods. To this end, coffee from El Manzano has contributed to three national barista championships, as well as first and second place finishes in the 2018 El Salvador CoE. We are very excited to share this coffee with you and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

We are tasting zesty citrus, Assam tea as well as chocolate malt. If you’re lucky you will also get some very gentle floral notes.

About our Drip Bags

Our drip coffee bags contain 11 grams of perfectly roasted, expertly ground, nitrogen flushed filter coffee for you to enjoy literally anywhere.  But to get the best result we recommend a few little tweaks:

1. Use the very best water you can, preferably filtered.
2. Aim for around 93-94c water temperature, if you don’t have a kettle that can hold temperature then boil your kettle and let it stand for about 1 minute.
3. Whilst you’re waiting for the kettle, remove the drip bag and give it a little shake or tap to settle the coffee.
4. Tear the top of the bag, gently pull out the tabs and suspend over your cup.
5. When it comes to pouring the water, we’ve found we get the best results by slowly filling the bag right to the top, letting it drain through and then repeating 2 times (3 fills in total), this should be around 190-200mls.
6. Once done, simply give the bag a little squeeze if you like, remove it, and you’re good to go!

A few important words about our packaging and product.

Our 10 pack box that contains the drip bags is fully recyclable cardboard, best before date is on the base of the product.

Our drip bags are nitrogen flushed for freshness and have a best before date of 12 months, each bag is also individually BB dated. The outer pouch is non-PET (APCO Compliant. Cerflex Compliant and Recycle ready), the drip bag itself is made from paper and is industrial compostable.

Our products are roasted and packaged in Australia from 100% imported coffee.
